***Please pray for him during this month as you enjoy his replies.***

My name is Fr. Binoy Akkalayil Lucka, O.SS.T,   I am originally from the state of Kerala in India. I joined the Trinitarian Order as a young teenager. My first profession of vows took place on December 26, 1996.  My Solemn profession took place on May 10th, 2003. Subsequently, I was Ordained to the Priesthood on January 3, 2005 in India. Soon after my Priestly Ordination, I was appointed as the Director and Minister of formation for the Trinitarian Seminary in Bangalore. I served at the seminary for a period of five years.

I came to the United States in 2010.  For 10 years, I served in pastoral ministry at St. Lawrence, Martyr, Catholic Church in Hanover, Maryland.  In 2020, I came to Las Vegas, Nevada and, since my arrival, I have been serving as pastor at St. James the Apostle Church.

The high point of my day is always celebrating Mass with the people of my flock. Sharing the joy and love that God gave to us is always fulfilled during the Mass and I look forward every day to that celebration with the people of God.  I am a “people person” and a helper. I love being with my people and I enjoy the time I am able to spend with them.

I have also served as the director of the Holy Trinity Spiritual center, the director of Trinitarian laity and the Third Order.  I am also involved with the Marriage Encounter Leadership.  As I said, I currently serve as Pastor at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, Las Vegas.

My favorite food is just about any home-cooked food from India.  I also exercise regularly, and I play as much tennis as I can during my free time.  It is my favorite pastime.

I think of you, pray for you and love you all.

Fr. Binoy Akkalayil Lucka, O.SS.T
